Similiar problem to the '03 listed but with intermittent symptoms. The noise seems to come from the drivers side and will usually only lasts for a minute or so. While doing 55 mph you can hear the engine unload and the pedal will be dead unless you floor it and then it drops a gear and runs fine. It is blowing blue/white smole almost constantly but the oil level is still dead center on the stick and does not smell of diesel. It smokes much more on starting. Thoughts?

Nevermind. Had it scanned at Autozone and P0216 came up. It did not show in the odometer window when I cycled the power.
