I have 2000 250 4x4 automatic with engine codes P1689, P1688, PO251, PO252,

while driving it hesitates and while in park at about 1800 rpm it will skip/hesitate,, i do not have any smoke, i did install a new lift pump the truck has 165000 miles

i have been told it is the injector pump

if it is my injector pump any suggestions as to who may have good quality rebuild

1688/1689 codes tell the tale........injection pump is toast. I'd recommend Industrial Injection or Blue Chip Diesel......

 

Not to be rude, but right now , as in last night i purchased a new INJ pump from cummins and still getting 1689 code.

Possible bad new pump, but what are the odds of that right?

Truck ran fine for awhile, i got the codes and the truck acted like it ran out of fuel, as in the transfer pump may be sucking air. 60K Go figure.

So, im just wondering, if someone gets the 1689 code and it may not be the apps or the inj pump, what could it be??

Im upset my truck is broke, 1000.00 away plus transfer pump and im not happy.

Help a brother out?
