Question hydraulic clutch

I pushed in the clutch and it relaxed pressure. There are no signs of leaking on master or slave cylinders. The fork is moving but im not sure how far it is supposed to move. With clutch depressed engine running I can't put it in gear. Im assuming the slave or master cylinder is the problem. Any ideas on this would be appreciated. Also is the hydraulic system all one unit as there are no bleeders. 92 Dodge 4x4 W250 turbo diesel. THANK YOU Tod

Look inside on your firewall if its leaking then the masters out. Altho it sounds like one of them took a dump in my opinion, i would bet on the master.

If the clutch fork is moving but the clutch isn't disengaging the problem is likely a seized up throw out bearing.

Some dealers will tell you that the hydraulic clutch system is all one piece so they can sell you all of it, but it is not. You have to drive a roll pin out to disconnect the line at the master or at the slave. You can buy either to replace. I learned this the hard way by paying for the whole setup at a dealer while traveling when I had my 96.

Trying to bleed thge individual components is a ROYAL PITA. Mine gave up the ghost, I tried the individual components and the bench bleeding technique and I still went back to DC to get the whole assembly. The complete assy comes in 2 pieces, pre-bled and is a 30 minute job to change out whole system versus 8 hours playing with individual components which still did not work after numerous attempts to bench bleed.

Just my $.02 worth fwiw
