thanks
I got her turned off, I shook the edge module. I was starting to get freaked out there for a minute.
I reset the turbo timer and she seems to be working again ok. That was the first glitch the Juice has given me after a whole year...

Unplugging the fuel shutoff relay would do it too as would pulling the master fuse in the fuse panel in the dash. And both would keep you away from items like a hot turbo or exhaust.

You can do what Dodge says, and shoot a fire extinguisher into the passenger side headlight. That'll make your turbo look real nice on the inside.
btw, I wouldn't recomend that. I'd probaly just pinch off a fuel line. You didn;t have a runaway. Just not killing the power to the fuel solenoid (sp?).

We do- it's in the injector pump and controlled by the fuel shut off solenoid. A switch wired into the ground wire to the solenoid to break the circuit would effectively be a fuel shutoff switch- there's no need for a physical valve.

CO2 and HALON should be OK (I think).

the fire extinguisher will smother out the air supply, replacing it with the poweder it shoots out. That's how it puts out a fire. That will kill the engine. It will also really mess up the air intake and turbo, and probably all the valves and pistons.
I was joking, although it is in your manual. It's to kill a runaway engine. It's a last choice option.

Do not do that with a dry chemical extinguisher! Like the other post said, CO2 or halon(if you can find it.) And it displaces the oxygen needed for combustion. The fuse trick sounds better to me!
