guage trouble

i have a 2000 ram 2500 and i have been having trouble with the guages not working first it was the oil pressure guage now the temp guage won't register . could this be the sending unit? any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing I would check is the sending unit, Then check the gauge. If you have power at the connector on the sending unit, check the gauge by grounding out the positive side of the plug, then go look at the gauge, if it is buried, then it is usually the sending unit.Don't do this for more than a few seconds or else it will burn the gauge out!

??? not sure but I think these gauges plug into a circuit board on the 2000 model and that could be the problem loose connection or bad circuit board
