Gov Spring install

I"m kinda confused on Piers instructions as far as measuring from the gov. stud to the adjusting nut. All I see in the hole is the stud and what appears to be two spring keepers? Where is this adjusting nut? How does the spring compress to remove the keepers?
Thanks
Rick

It looks just like 2 regular valve keepers, but it's the nut. The nut is wavy on the other side to keep it in place.

Nevrenufhp, thanks that info is a lot better than the stuff I have. Man WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I guess that when the pump was replaced on the truck, the original owner never had the other springs swaped. This is one upgrade that is well worth the $$.

Thanks again
Rick
