Glow plug indicator light doesn't come on!!

My glow plug indicator light in the dash doesn't come on when I turn the key. But it still turns on and starts and runs perfect.

What is wrong?? Just the light out or something bigger?

The WTS (wait to start light) will only come on when engine temperature is below 50* F.

Welcome to the Forum !

You do not have Glow Plugs in your Dodge. What you have is a Grid Heater at the intake port of the engine. Its similar to a toaster where it heats up the air going into the engine. Much better than a Glow Plug. Depending on the year of your truck, the light indicating its working could be differant. On the newer trucks I've heard it does not come on unless the outside temp is low.

The Common Rail Diesels will start unassisted to -20. Check your owner manual to see where on the dash its located.

When you get time fill out your signature accessed via the USER CP link (Top Left).
