There are numerous additives that can be added to help with gelling. There is a white bottle that says Diesel 911 that works well. I can't remember who makes it so I won't attempt to say. Somebody will chime in with the name soon.

Actually it is an orange bottle (hunter's orange) and it is made by Powerservice. It is called 911 right on the bottle. It is designed to be added to fuel that is already gelled. I have not used it, so can't comment on how well it works. Wal-mart and most truck stops should carry it.

My father had told me that in case of an emergency, like you are on the road that if you had a small amount of pure alcohol, you can put a very small amount into your tank keep it from jelling up, so that you can make it to the next rest stop or fuel station. My father drove semis for 13 years. So i would think that he would know something about that.

Alcohol and Power Service 911, which contains alcohol, will ungell your fuel but should be used with caution especially with a VP pump.
Alcohol will make your diesel extremely dry, non lubricating, and can damage your injection pump.
Knowing the climate around Junction City I highly doubt it gets cold enough to gel your fuel even once every ten years.
