Friend is broke down in Panama City, Florida...needs some help.
Need to know if anyone around the Panama City, Florida area might be able to help diagnose a fuel problem on my friends '07 3500. He had to get towed in this morning and he had P0148 (I think it was) for a high pressure error. He said truck just kept losing power. He previously replaced a blown PRV and installed an AD system a few months back. Said he changed filters and FCA and still had no power. Truck will start and run but once up to speed it starts falling on it's face. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I'll be at work all night but if you want to shoot me a text msg I will gladly forward the info his way. (254)644-7024
Thanks DTR members,
Justin.

Talked with him again today and he said that if changed the rail pressure to #2 on his Smarty it helped out a little bit but ultimately still lost power. Removed Smarty altogether and problem still there.
Is there anyway that possibly the adjustment screw on his AD165 could have backed off or something causing the fuel flow to be decreased? I'm just trying to find any possibility of what might be happening. Can the CP3 gradually go out? It's a gear driven radial piston pump so, to me it seems like it would either work or not.....all or nothing....am I wrong here?

He still hasn't got the truck to a shop yet...he says the AD165 is pumping tons of fuel so we can rule that out. Could the APPS have something to do with the truck acting like it's running out of fuel? The voltage possibly dropping over time causing the trouble....I'm still trying to help him diagnose the problem over the phone and we've got nothing yet. He's gonna try and find a shop this morning that can get him going.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turns out, he an injector or two returning way too much fuel, causing the loss of power while going down the highway. Kinda strange though, the engine idled smooth as a baby's behind and he hand calculated 22 mpg.
Anyway, problem solved and he's headed back to good ol' Texas.
