Fender Flare removal

Any tips on pulling these off. They are the ATS flares and the 3M tape is what's worrying me. I am planning on removing them and having them painted if I get my SRT10 hood painted body color.

Hair dryer on high will usually soften most adhesives enough for removal and they don't get hot enough to damage paint as a heat gun would. I'd try that.

Fishing line works pretty good too, and acetone will remove the adhesive without damaging the paint. Once you get a flare started, you should be able to pull it right off, since the adhesive is weaker than the paint.

3M Sells an adhesive remover. I used it to pull the chrome off my previous truck.
It still took time and a lot of scrubbing, but it did work.

Rich.
