diesel will only idle

My 1999 Cummins will only idle i replaced the apps and it still only idles. When i try to throttle up it just misses hope someone can help

Did you replace the APPS yourself, or Dealer?

Might try the APPS reset procedure again, if not for the first time.

Sounds like the VP is dead. Have you checked the codes?

i did it my self i am going to pick up my brothers snapon scanner and see what happens thnx for the quick response gary

Sounds like it just needs to be reset. Disconnect the batteries for 10 min and then put them back. Jump in and turn your truck to ACC on position then slow depress the fuel pedal.
