Re:CRACKING FUEL LINES.

Thanks.. By the way, the dealership told me that there was a service bulletin on these lines some time ago so they know it's a problem. They don't have to fix it under warranty though which sucks!! The cummins dealer is telling me that's not a good part number. He tells me it is now # 3942595. The price is around $24.00. Is that about what you paid??

Re:CRACKING FUEL LINES.

I PAID 65 FOR THE DEALER SUPPLIED LINE AND 42 FOR THE PARTS STORE SUPPLIED LINE. THAT PART NUMBER IS GOOD I TOOK IT RIGHT OFF OF MY RECEIPT. AND DOUBLE CHECKED TO THE LINE TAG. MAYBE IT IS SOME KIND OF UPGRADE OR X REFERENCE???

Re:CRACKING FUEL LINES.

Hmmm... I think that in the interest of getting my truck fixed I'm going to go to the dealership with a picture of where the line came from and order it from them. I'm taking a trip next week and don't want to be waiting for parts to come in and holding me up! Thanks for your help. I hope yours is fixed for good now..

Re:CRACKING FUEL LINES.

I couldn't do that because the line cracked right where it goes into the end. It broke right off as I was cutting it. A few more miles and I would have had a serious problem. Thank god I was at work when I noticed the drip.

Re:CRACKING FUEL LINES.

I ordered the line from the Cummins dealer. He says it is the new number for the part. Maybe it is an upgraded piece to replace the inferior ones. It is possible that your supplier was selling you the old pieces that he had in stock.?.? I'll find out tomorrow when it comes in. (Fingers crossed)

Re:CRACKING FUEL LINES.

Got my line on and all seems to be fine. The part number I gave you does look to be a little better than the stock piece. The Cummins guy failed to mention that I would have to pay shipping on it though. Total cost $49.50. So it's a little more than yours CWICKHAM.. Thanks for the help though with the part number...
