Changed the fuel filter now can't get it started. Help.
I have a dodge 2500 diesel. I tried to change the fuel and filter on my own. I did it once before and had a problem with priming. After a while, I got it going. So, I tried again. Now, I can't get it going. It just turns over. I read some of the help and it says something about a screw? I don't even know what I am looking at or where to look or where to go from here. Any suggestions? Please?

Couple of things to try. First, did you fill the canister? Next, turn the key to the run position to allow the pump to run. Perhaps loosen the bleed screw to see if fuel is pumping.
If that fails, check the gasket to make sure it is properly seated.
If that fails, there is a chance that the lift pump isn't working. As long as there was prime, the inj pump could draw enough fuel to run, but once the prime was lost, no fuel deawn.
When the pump is running, there should be fuel flowing from the loosened bleed screw.

Does anyone know or can suggest a good book I can purchase to give me some direction? I am stuck here. Short of getting it towed somewhere, I am not sure what to do next or what to try.

If I remember correctly, tjhere is a 10mm brass screw on top of the cannister, toward the fron of the truck. Loosen any line after the filter. I do not have a 24V

My canister, or what I call the Fuel filter canister, is toward the back of the truck. I see 2 screws. One is marked 1 and the other marked 2 with plastic tire caps on them. "1" is coming into the canister and "2" is in the fuel line after the canister. Is one of these the bleed screw?

Mine has screw-in hex head plugs on the top of the fuel filter housing. The one on the front (toward grill) is the outlet side. Crack it a little and see if fuel comes out when you turn the key on. If it does, you will probably have to crack the lines on a couple of injectors to recover your prime. If no fuel on the outlet, you will have to trace it backwards.
