battery draining

I've got a 90 ram 250 that I just restored and am using as a farm truck. Its got a CTD with a 5spd 4x4. Recently the battery has been going dead after it sits over night. I've got it narrowed down to the interior lamp circuit and i just started to notice that the small red light inside of the cargo light switch is faintly pulsing on and off with the truck turned off, doors shut, interior light bulbs and cargo light bulbs removed. I have also disconnected the ground cable from the battery and put my test light in series and i can see a pulsing draw even when the cargo light switch is disconnected. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram that shows me the interior light circuit so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. My wife is getting tired of rolling the truck down the driveway to start it every morning so i guess I better get it fixed soon.

Thanks.

If you go over to the 1st gen board and look in the sticky thread at the top of the page under electrical, you will find wiring diagrams online. They are for a '91.5, but the interior lighting is the same.

Does the battery drain overnight when it is disconnected? If there is an internal short in the battery it will drain just setting disconnected.

The other thing you might consider is pulling fuses one at a time, while watching your test light jumped in between the battery and battery cable...

At least it would help make sure you are looking at the right area.
