They are wanting to charge so much because they wasted a day labor hunting for what they didn't know they were looking for. Apearently you didn't have a warranty, and your learning that you should have taken it to a transmision shop instead. They would have most likely told you what it was over the phone, because they deal with these things every day. They guy that worked on yours will be doing somthing totally diffrent tomorrow. Not transmisions.

Yeah, your right on that! Speaking with the service writer again this morning I found that the $145.10 breaks down to $80 for diagnostic, $40 for labor, and $25.10 for the part. Makes me sick to my stomach!
I'm appalled that DC charges $80 for a software flash! [very mad] I work in the cellular industry, we as an industry as don't typically charge to update software in equipment that a customer owns.
Anyone in/around the Knoxville TN area that can give me some recommendations on shops to use in the future to stay away from the dealers?
