Air Conditioning not working

Air Conditioning not working
It just stopped working and I have tried recharging it twice. Other than needing a new compressor are there any other things to check?
This really sucks in 100 degree weather!

Lots of things to check. Did you have good gauges when you recharged it? low freon isn't the answer to all ac issues. You have to know what's going on before you can really do anything.
Did it just stop cooling one day or gradually get warmer?
Is it blowing out of the wrong vents?
Does the compressor cycle on/off rapidly?
If the compressor stays on, do any of the ac lines sweat?
Does water drip out of the condensate drain?

Just adding refrigerant without knowing if it is low or how much it is low could overcharge it and cause it to stop also by developing high head pressure. Likely you may need help of a technician or someone who can trace the real problem if you do not understand what could be wrong.

The gauges that come free with a recharge can are very inaccurate. They will read different every time. A good set of gauges ned to go on to see what's happening.

Mine stopped working it was the high pressure cut off switch it is a female plug that a male plug with two wires coming from it. I beleive it is on the condensor it was a black can that gets cold on mine. It has a bolt you can unscrew it out with a wrench. to test if its the problem i unplugged it and ran a jumper wire through it and the ac worked just the switch was bad
