4wd doesn't work
95 2500, the tcase works but the actuator doesn't. I have checked and it does get vacum. Is there something I should look for? Do these actuators go bad? I can wiggle the diaphram back and forth also.
Any suggestions?

My guess is that you have a leak or a unplugged line somewhere. It is kind of a pain but, I would trace my lines down and make sure they are good. There is a switch on top or the transfer case that might have gone out also. Are you sure the 4x4 isn't working or is the light simply not turning on.

Re:4wd doesn't work
I took the truck out last weekend and there was no engagement of the 4wd. What I did was put the truck in low and slightly hit the brakes. The rear tires would dig in and I could see the front driveshaft spin but no front tires. I also tried to go up some hills with no luck. Yesterday I double checked the vacum lines and I jacked the front end up. I started the truck up and put it in 4wd, the front end still seem unlocked with the parking brake on.

Ok on the top of your transfer case there should be a switch with 4 vacuum lines going into it. I am thinking that this switch is out on your truck. If you followed your vacuum lines all the way from the engine down and it is all perfect, then it should be this switch. I know of one spot on my truck that the vacuum lines always get jerked of is right on the front of the skid plate, double check that spot to make sure. Dodge is the only place I can find the switch but, it isn't bad if my thinking is right you are looking at about $40 or so.

Re:4wd doesn't work
When you say it does get vacum, where does it get vacum? The vacum motor shoud have vacum on the outboard hose in 2 wheel drive and the inboard side in 4 wheel drive. If this is happening and its a pretty strong vacum you have problems inside the CAD unit. Take the 4 7/16 bolts out and tell us what you see there.

Re:4wd doesn't work
Does the vaccum lines that control the 4WD also control the cruise? Or are they even related? Reason I ask is I did some four wheeling a while ago and now my crusie only works above 75mph now. 4-hi also doesn't seem to be working that well either. 4-low works great.

Re:4wd doesn't work
Well the only thing they have in comon it the vaccum. They both have there own seperate lines but, the vaccum as you know comes from the same place. My guess is you have a leak some place.
