4 way flashers
Need a little help please...Hooked up a trailer that was loaned to my by a dealer while some repairs being made to mine. Turned on the 4 ways to check the sig. lites and the 4ways stopped working.( trailer was wired up wrong) Now I checked the fuse and its ok. Tried another flasher that was good, but still no 4 ways....the right and left sig. lites work. Not sure where to look next. All the fuse panel says is turn signels. Truck is a 1994 2500 ctd. Any ideas?

When my '95s were new they came with a heavy duty flasher unit in the glovebox labeled use when adding trailer lights.
When I tried using the ones that were installed the blinkers flashed real fast for a short time before the flashers failed.
Plugged in the heavy duty flashers and they've been working flawlessly for 14 years.
Perhaps that's your problem?
I've always wondered why they didn't install the heavy duty flashers in the first place.

Nope, tried a new heavy duty flasher, swaped the two of them around and still nothing. This is without the trailer on. Always worked with my trailer untill I hooked on to this other one and plugged it in with the 4 ways on to check he lights and they havnt worked since....Had to rewire the plug on that trailer to get things working right.....

Bet it is another fuse then, not sure where they get the power from, but it is powered up all the time, key on or not, so it has to come from a different fuse than your turn signals. Check all the fuses in both the side of teh dash and under the hood.
