241 transfer case

Question- I replaced the ATF in the Transfer case. Amsoil book says 1.2 qts. I put almost 2 qts and it didn't come up to the fill hole. When I drained it, it seemed like more than 1.2 qts came out. Any advice? Thanks, Mike

Your case will hold 2.5 quarts. Any how fill it till the oil comes out the fill hole.
