2000 Dodge 3500 diesel died

The guages quit about a year ago. The truck ran fine so I kept driving. Drove the truck to work and it ran fine, shut it off and came back one hour later and it would not start. It turns over fine but will not start.

what is the problem!!

What have you checked/tested? did it simply run out of fuel? did the lp die and take the ip with it?

crack a couple injector lines and crank it over for a few seconds to see if there is fuel there, if not , move back a step , crack a line between the lift pump and the IP and just bump the starter , and see if it pumps any fuel.

Make sure there is fuel in the tank before you do any of this. And get those gages working again! A fuel pressure gage would also be a must have.

It has plenty of fuel. I loosened the banjo nut after the fuel filter, which is new, and bumped the starter, fuel squirted out. Then I cracked open three differant injectors and did not get any fuel.

Your injection pump , if your gages don't work , i assume that you can't check the codes, which you need to do , find a way to get the codes checked, and if 0216 shows up, you need an IP.

Taking a guess, but maybe the cam or crank position sensor.
