My transmission just started having this problem shifting from 1st to 2nd. It seems to start off in 1st and then shift immediately to 2nd (at about 1200-1400 rpms). The rest of the gears shift normal. The tranny will also shift normal when shifting manually. I just did a service (new fluid, filter and band adjustment) about 1000 miles ago. I have not checked for any codes and there is no check engine light. I did change the speed sensor on the LH side of the transmission back near the tailshaft, but no help. Please help.....

Truck is a 2001 with 47RE tranny with 4 inch exhaust and Diablosport powerpuck.

sounds like the govenor pressure switch and transducer

Thats what I was thinking also. I checked the codes and there are no codes. I will change those and let ya'll know what happens.

Try to readjust your bands and see if that works. If not I'd say it's the GPS as well.

Repalced the Governor pressure sensor and solenoid. Tranny shifts great now. Thanks you for all the info.
