'03-all six injectors gone?

'03-all six injectors gone?
My husband drove the truck to work and it wouldn't start later. The dealership says that it needs all six injectors replaced. Is this possible? What would cause all six injectors to die, while the injector pump and lift pump are fine?
Please help with any ideas as this "fix" is VERY costly.

What did the dealership say caused the problem. If the injector pump and lift pump are fine, then want else could have caused it. Bad fuel would have damaged everything. Did you pick up some bad fuel?

I noticed the post from 03diesel wife was from May 2nd. Anybody know if she ever found out what the problem was?
