Hey guys here is what I got. 01 model 6 speed HO. 110,000 miles on it. Died right off the interstate would not start back. I had to tow it in to a shop today. I have P0123, P01597 and P1693 codes present. Everything I read says TPS switch. Would this keep it from starting? I replaced the lift pump with a Holley Blue about two weeks ago. Had a short case of dead pedal. Thought either bad fuel, filter or lift pump going out so I went ahead and changed it. Lost cruise control after that. Then it came back and then the truck went dead. Thanks.

I wish I was as fine, as those who work the pipeline!

FWIW...
P0123 Accelerator Position Sensor (APPS) Signal Voltage Too High
P1597 Speed Control Switch always low
P1693 Generic fault indicating a fault in the bus or PCM/ECM interface
Did you have the dead peddle before or after the lift pump change?
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? If so what was it prior to failure off the highway?
Did you loose cruise control right after you replaced the LP? or was it a while after?
If you are sure that you are getting fuel, and if your problems showed up after you replaced you LP, I would check and recheck all the connections for your LP.
As Pat stated, you companion code will help as well.
Also check Here. Lots of good info about your VP and Diagnosing it.

Thanks guys for the replies. Shop says it is the Vp. That sucks. My lift pump is working I have fuel to the injection pump. Gonna crack the lines to see if it has fuel going to them. The shop only did a computer check on the pump and said it was bad.
