0 Boost at cruise
I tried this in the performance section.
I just installed gauges and comp. I see 0 psi boost till i hit incline and then it will rise slowly depending on grade. It usually goes 10-15 psi then back to 0 when i hit cruise speed . Most of the time it barely hits 10. About 60 -65 mph. pyro is up to 1000 easy then settles to about 700. fuel is steady at 13-14.
I have soap bubbled all intercooler connections and intake gaskets. I can not find any leaks.
How can i tell if my wastegate is stuck open?

I'll be the odd ball.
What range is your gauge? Maybe it is just not expanded well enough to read the pressure if it is a 60 PSI or higher gauge. If it is 35 PSI it sounds like a gauge or gauge line restriction. I see between 3 and 5 PSI @ 60 MPH @ 2150 RPM (4.10 rearend w/5 speed). Your PYRO seems good. Iwould say the ENG is working properly and it is an indication issue. BTW I get between 20.5 and 22.5 MPG.

I have a 60 psi gauge abd 3:55 gears . It could be a indication issue. I dont remember what i had on the gauge on a semi pass couse i was watching the road. I will try and see what it hits on a sure enuff floor reading next time. It sounds like i may be normal if all i am reading is correct. I did get a 1693 companion code but it only has ---- p done after that. no other code is showing will try and get it scanned soon. only thing i did was not unhook the battery when i peirced the wire and unhooked the pump cover to get to the wire. i had the battery unhooked when i did the rest of the install of the box. Do i need to do a apps reset? throttle seems to be working correctly. no dead peddle or anything.

Another odd ball...
Check signature first... My truck is basically stock.
Second...(using only cruise control on flat ground)
Cruising at 65 MPH I will have about 5-7 PSI of boost. Pyro is normally at 800*F
Cruising at 55 MPH I will have about 2-3 PSI of boost. Pyro is normally at 600*F
Cruising at 45 MPH I will have about 0 PSI of boost. Pyro is normally at 500*F
Boost max for stock is 20 PSI
I hope this helps...

Vordie,
A lower RPM with the same throttle position will result in less H.P. In order to hold the achive the same H.P. as the higher RPM there must be more throttle, and in turn more boost. So your theroy is backwards.
As I stated it may be an issue of the large value gauge not being sensitive enough show it. Or maybe Mopar and the four other BT (Dodge and Cummins) engines I have put a great number of miles on (some with 3.73, 3.54, 3.07 gears) have all been oddballs.
2busy,
As long as the WOT PSI is what your looking for and there are no leaks I see no issues. Just watch for changes.

I don't know if it is what i'm looking for, I just did'nt know what to Look for.
I went out today and max i could hit was 23psi. I was informed i should be seeing at least 28 with comp. It may be it is my gauge not being sensitive enuff. I'm not implying all 60 psi gauges are less sensitive. I'm just hopeing that is all that is wrong here.
I appreciate everones time and replies.

You might barrow a 35 PSI boost gauge from someone and try it and see if the reading are the same.
That's what we are here for...

The only thing i did was install the elbow that came with the comp.doesn't the comp have the fooler built in?
I dont see any boost till at least 35 mph. then like i said befor it slowly creaps to about 5-10 most of the time then right back to 0.
This 60 psi gauge is layed out 0-10 in 2 lb increments then it is 1lb from there on.autometer z series.
I dont know anyone around here that even has gauges let alone borrow one to test my setup. Truck seems to be running good but slow to build steam so to speak. I had tihs thing hammered and it took a while to get the 23 psi boost. even put the comp on 5 and still no more. no black cloud of smoke just a haze for a little while.
