Head Studs

Hey all,
What is a better head stud to go with? A1 or ARP? I know ARP involves milling the rockers down and A1 requires grinding on the valve cover.

I have both, I can't say whether one is better than the other, but I will say that the valve covers are easier to modify than the rockers. Especially if you have a milling machine, aluminum is easier to machine than that nasty powdered metal the rocker post is made out of.

There are aluminum spacers available on Ebay to raise the valve covers up to provide clearance.

Save your money.

This is all that's required using the A1 studs . . . .

You can do the valvecover thing with ARP's too. We did it on my 95.
