What to get for my new 07?

I just got a 2007 6.7L and im looking to delete egr, delete dpf and add a smarty me.

What do I need to do this?

Who has the best/cheapest price?

Will I void my warranty? (will they know if i return the truck back to stock and take it in?)

I really enjoyed my edge w/juice on my last truck. Is there a reason that everyone uses the smarty?

The EJA for the 6.7 is a good box. Smarty is better. It performs better, has better mpg, and more usable power. Ive got em both on my truck right now and I am ready to sell the Edge. Smarty is the sweet spot.

You will be able to tell if the truck has been modified. Too many tattletales will be present. Lines tapped, stuff removed, connectors tampered with, and thats just the physical. There is no programmer on the market, Edge included, that if they dig deep enough, they wont find. The 6.7 ECM just records too much data. Now, that being said, its up to the individual dealer to void the warranty, whichever they choose to void. My dealer told me they would have to prove what I did caused the problem before they void. In other words, they will work with me as much as possible.

The best route to go its with a Smarty, 4 or 5" turbo back exhaust, the 5.9 exhaust will work, and the EGR deletes. I recommend the EGR cooler delete too. Cleans up the engine bay a lot and if you doing some, might as well do it all. You will want something to keep an eye on the parameters also. EGT, Boost, Tranny temp gauges at a minimum. The Edge Insight is a nice all in one digital unit if you want to go that route.

Get in touch with Lary Ellis (Top) at the DTR store. He will have everything you need.

Congrats on the new truck You will love it.

the smarty is just a one time pcm program or do you have to leave it plugged in all the time? I like the edge juice because it can monitor everything in one shot.

Smarty is a downloader, plug it in, program, unplug.

Reread my earlier post about what I said about the Edge and shoot me a pm.

One other thing, the Edge wont allow for full EGR deletes.

Like Blake said, 4" or 5" turbo back exhaust will get rid rid of DPF and NOX, I used the H&S kit to delete my EGR/Cooler. Smarty to program it for no codes and youre set. Check out the DTR Store for good deals.

Searching around I found this page

I really wish the smarty would allow real time monitoring.

I like the truck quiet and would like to keep it that way if possible. I know when i remove the dpf to a straight pipe it will increase the sound.

You would be surprised at how quiet it stays. Had to stack mine to make it any kind of loud.

Go with a 4" TBE and leave the stock muffler in place. You wont even notice the sound.

The junior is the way to go if your just looking for mileage gains and engine longevity.

Im not one to tell someone where to spend there cash, but the Smarty is price governed. Makes no difference price wise where you get it.

I have shopped with James at RSD many times. My second favorite place to buy, after the DTR store...

which of these do I need to get
http://store.dieseltruckresource.com/egranddpfde.html

is there any advantage of going with a 4" TBE instead of just one of these

To answer my own question it looks like theres still a cat there? What kind of mileage increase am I looking at if i was to remove the cat vs no cat? (both with dpf and nox removed)

And of course I will get the smarty JR

I used the just delete pipe in mine. Downside is the upstream cat is still in place in the down pipe that I will eventually replace. The stock system is pretty good for normal power levels and the muffler is through flow so no need to upgrade the entire system IMHO. The noise level isn't that noticeable under load, but he Ebrake is much louder.

True Smarty is not a monitoring device.. If you want that, then the Insight by Edge, BullyDog, Quadzilla all have digital plug in monitors. I preferred installing my own gauges instead and running the Smarty.

Wrong smarty, you need the #sj67 not the #j-06!

is the egr block off plate just to clean up the engine bay? I can still do the deletes by removing the actuator right?
