I can't say that all the powerstrokes are all junk. I won't say all the duramax engines are all junk. The only powerstroke that I drove was a real dog. It was in a '95 F350 with 4door cab and it had 100,000 miles on it. I don't know what the previous owner did but like I said, "It was like stepping on a marshmallow". You could feel something there but it didn't do much.

THere is one in every crowd brother. Wether its hunting, fishing, trucks, dogs, beer, women, or horses. Everyone has an opinion.

I like all diesels. Simply because they burn oil. IM just hooked on them.

I have run em all. I prefer a cummins, but there is nothing wrong with a 7.3 idi, or a p-stroker as long as its got a 5 speed. I have never driven an automatic diesel that I liked. Thats just me.

I ran three loads with a PSD 7.3 when mine was down. I get 11.5 to 12 mpg running 70+ and the PSD got 9. It had a hard time starting up a hill from stop with my loads. The Cummins just rolls off at idle. In my view, no comparison. But it was a comfortable, good truck.

Hey Haulin wasn't that PSD a slushbox? You were losing it all in torque converter slip.
Now imagine a CTD in a F250 truck. That'd be nice. 6 spd of course.

i have a friends that drive PSDs so we give each other heck about are trucks
but the PSD just doesnt compare to the CTD when it comes to pulling,

stock 1995's in a race the PSD will win but it wont out pull a CTD
thats proven

my truck, stock was slow, but now thats different
and im proud to say that i've beatin all 3 of the new diesel
and the performance upgrade was free
plus i get better MPG

Yep, and yep again. I moved a F450 dump truck last week. Was impressed that it had the same rear that my truck has the 80. Now if we had the bigger wheels and brakes it has.

I have driven a number of late 90's 7.3 PS and a 2002 6.0. The 7.3 were much louder but very slow off the line and it did rev up a bit. The 6.0 was pulling a large living horse trailer and had good power but was having the computer controller problem with the low idle and would lope like a big block chev.

I bought the CTD after driving all of these due to the power, mpg and I like the look of the Dodges. I had a 96 Dodge gasser before this and diesels will be in my trucks from now on... Srigs
