when you drive by a car lot and one is just calling your name. i've got that feeling. i drive by this truck everyday and i see it just sitting there waiting to be driven. i wish i only had the money to buy it. i think it sure is nice.

There is one that is junk down the road from me, but the guy will not come off of it. I threw 5k at him, just for poops and giggles, he told me to take a walk. The body is beat all to heck, turbo is missing, front clip is destroyed. I'd love to have that thing in my garage...

A standard cab short bed auto would make a great drag truck.

Well, it's easy enough to chop off the frame behind the cab and build a new shorter tube frame in its place. At the same time you could ditch the leafspring setup in favor of a triagulated 4-link or something.

You know what, someone needs to buy a std. cab C&C model with the Aisin tranny, lop off the frame behind the wheels and convert it to a 4-link, ditch all the emissions crap and build that sucker up.

 

I wouldn't call it ready for the track, Sarge-- it's a 6-speed!

That said, it's still one SWEET ride!
