Are you incapable of parking your truck "nose in"?
I have found myself to be COMPLETELY incapable of parking my truck in a way that I would have to back up to leave the parking spot.
I just can't do it. Especially the skinny parking spots in gas stations, schools, etc. I oftentimes find that I always leave one of my rear tires hanging over the white line, or completely diagonal in the parking spot.
Now in reverse, I can whip that dually around like nobodys business. I can squeeze in spots that before I bought the truck I would have never though to be possible. I pull a good distance ahead, throw 'er in reverse and back right in.
Maybe it is just that I back in to a parking spot 95% of the time?
I hate trying to back out into a lot in one of these trucks. It is just a pain. So I have always backed in so that I can get out a lot easier.
So maybe it is just that I never park fowards so that I am just not used to it?
Or am I completely alone here??
/bored at school and thought I'd make a poll.

I find I can park either way you just get used to the length but back in whenever possible as I hate all the blind spots and always worry about something sneaking up on me if I have to back out so I just find it much safer to back in.

Try to three point it in if you have to park nose in. That allows you to pull in straight instead of trying to swing the front in a tight space.
I think the bigger problem is poorly designed parking lots and morons in grocery getters who can't park right themselves.

I don't park "Nose In" unless there is absolutely NO OTHER way to legally park.
I park in the boonies and walk.
Backing out of a space in most pubic lots is just asking for "Whiplash Wanda" to make sure you back into them and pay for their next vacation.

Ussually always nose in. But sometimes, the drive-lane in parking lots aren't very wide, so backing in is easier. Then it also depends on where the parking lot is; ie. church, Qualcomm, Petco Park, etc. At places like that, I "prefer" to back in. I really don't like backing out into parking-lot-rude-people-trying-to-get-home traffic.

At work, or if im going in somewhere quickly, I park nose in, everywhere else I back in, just makes it easier to get out, especially when the idiot that parks next to you give you NO room, and if its a tight row, you sometimes dont have the room behind you to swing out either.
Its just part of having a big truck.

I try to find a parking stall that is designed for parking nose to nose and drive through the first stall to park in the second facing out. They are not easy to find but it makes it easier if you can do it.I don't mind backing in but the best way is to do it like I just explained.Ron G

I usually look for one of those small enviromentally friendly vehicles and park on top of it
That way should a drop of oil happen to make it's way out of my vent tube, it will land on the car and not contaminate the enviroment

#1 choice - Pentastar's method, pull through
#2 choice - back in
#3 choice - nose in
I'll generally just avoid trying to get so close to the store/entrace/whatever... it saves dings on the truck, and I walk fast enough that it is actually faster for me to park further away than deal with congestion, idiots, etc.
When I'm going to HD, etc. I can normally find a pull-through without too much difficulty. Way faster, less tire scrub.

Pentastarts, back in, forward if I have to. Truck usuall take 1 and a half spots being so long with the hitch. Park in the boonies away from the cart slobs at the grocery store that unload and give the cart a shove.
