General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Are you a dual cummins family?

my truck is in the sig. when i owned my truck for about 2 years, i started letting (more-so insisting) my father use my truck for his errands that involved a pickup (instead of that old chivvy). after 5- 10 times, he was hooked and bought an '00. i have owned various larger vehicles with the 4bt, 6bt, and isb...oh yeah an 8.3 too.

I've got the only Diesel in the family.

Right now there is a 2002 Durango (sisters) and a 1994 Caravan (Moms) sitting in the garage.
So we're a Dodge family at least.

My truck, of course, is sitting on the side of the garage.
A little clearance issue keeps mine out in the weather.

My dad is seriously considering a Diesel though.
He wants a full size truck, and is thinking Diesel since most of the time it is cheaper than gas
(right now it's pushing it though, premium is only a few cents more ).

He hasn't made up his mind as to which flavor of Diesel though,
I'm doing my best to convince him of the proper path.
He's had full size Fords and Internationals in the past, had a full size Blazer once, but never a Dodge product.

You could say that:

Mine: 94 12 valve automatic 2500 4x4; fuel plate,3K GSK

dads:98.4 12 valve 5 speed 2500 4x4;stock

1uncle:98.5 24 valve 5 speed 2500 ext cab, shortbed;stock

2uncle:97 12 valve automatic 3500 4x4 ext cab dually;stock

Cousin:94 F-250 5 speed 4x4 powerstroke;banks kit(he likes the cummins though, so hes on the right track)

And i could go a LOT further with people who are farther kin(like my grandmothers brothers, and their sons), but it would take me all night, and we would run into some duramaxes then .
