unless ur towing alot, the 6spd probably won't be the best daily driver (if u daily drive ur truck). The auto is better for that, but the 6spd would be a great sled pull setup.

They told me every single truck was the same price (28k) except for the two beat the heck farm trucks that were (26k). I looked over every truck and I have to say I got the best of the lot at the time. However, they didn't like to bargain much and they start considerably higher than a lot of places I've been looking at since. You also have to look the trucks over with a fine toothed comb. Some of the trucks had a bunch of cover up work done to them. (Not sure if it was them or the previous owner though.)

Now, they are a big dealer and have a huge selection usually. I was also happy with their service and my parents ended up there buying a new car too.

Gotta keep in mind, they are the 2nd largest FERD dealer in the country too and trust me, they like their FERDs.

Have a good one!

Keep in mind you know YOUR truck and you don't know the OTHER truck.
i'll have to agree woodhouse is one huge dealer and they don't like to give much on the price.i swear if you drive around blair, their lot takes up half the town.i'll also say your in plattsmouth so your not too far away to go there and browse thru all their stuff.just go early and plan on spending hours there.

why do you say this, just from having to constantly shift or what? and i do daily drive now but no in town its all highway/interstate.

also, how's fuel economy in manuals vs. auto?

I think the 6spd would be fine for a daily driver...

I don't really shift alot in my 5spd...

I drove my buddies 6spd and had to shift a little more than in my 5spd due to closer gear ratios...

Nothing I would complain about...

well, freeway driving doesn't matter which trans u have. But city driving when it's constantly changing speeds, and people hold u at rpms right where u wanna shift at, that kinda sucks... It's just my personal preference, since i've had both a auto and 5spd in this cummins. It was a stock auto and a complete dog until it locked up, but it was more comfortable to drive in traffic. When traffic drops me from 4th gear and I have to downshift to 3rd, thats a big jump with my 4.10's and that seems to always happen with traffic and it get's annoying. Auto's stay constantly in the lower rpms where the power is so changing speed is no problem. But when towing, u can keep ur rpms where u want them alot easier with the 5spd so it's great for that. All in all, if I had taller gearing i'd love the 5spd, but my shifts are way to short with 4.10's and 235/85/16 tires...

Update!!!

well everyone, the verdict is NO! to be blunt about the subject, this truck is poopoo compared to mine. ya the miles are low but i got the chance to get ahold of the original owner and i had a nice conversation with him and i found out that it was a farm truck with a bit of towing with it and trust me it showed. if i needed a farm truck i'd have bought it but it had to many problems that my truck does not have. those problems were as follows:
tailgate totally bashed
plastic on rear bumber missing
left tail light damaged
right fender behind the rear tire has lots of rusties
LOTS of rock chips
driver side visor was falling apart
windshield cracked from left to right
transfer case leaked BAD
steering wheel original leather was falling apart
and it grinded from 5th to 6th

so i basically said to forget it. they did agree to fix most of the above problems but not all and they were only gonna give me well, that's privatenot what i wanted anyways and i still owe too much on the truck so i think its a bad deal anyway. besides i just spent $500 on parts and oils and coolants and shocks and etc. for my summer tune up that i did during the spring

well its bedtime here
anyquestions or comments lets here 'em
oh and if you were interested it that truck, have at it.
