Is it worth it?
I'm thinking about trading my '97 Z71 in and picking up this truck. Do you guys think it is worth it for that chunk of change?

I can make a comment on the dealership too. I drove 2 hours to that dealership, to buy a 87 F150 they had (I fell in love with it, only to sadly have to sell it later on). The dealership is friendly (everyone you come in contact with), and are informative, and if they don't have the information they'll tell you they will call you back and ACTUALLY call back with the information. They are still a dealership, but I'd recommend them.
Oh and honest too. The truck I bought was rough too, and the saleslady was honest with me about the price, and why it was set at that price, and was willing to work with me on it.
Just my two bits.

Anyone else? What should I look for that are expensive things to fix? I'm kinda worried about the KDP. What else though? And what is a good way to test and check out these expensive fixes?

To the top...
Look for any oil leaks, those are a big sign that things may be busted up, like the KDP falling into the timing case. Blow-by test if you have the equipment, check brake lines, fuel lines especially, and the track bar, have someone wiggle the steering wheel while you look at the track bar and suspension/steering components, and ask them to check anything that you think is loose, work it into the deal to have it fixed even if it costs you a little bit, if they screw it up, its on them not you. Good luck with the buy!
