Nope, not to me. I got my '04.5 with 30K on the ticker for less than that. It's only worth it if you want to pay that much for it.

You must have bought it off someone wanting out then...

But I have seen good deals like that around, just not in the right color for me.

Also, I want to stay out of the newer ones because of some of the things I have heard about injection events, and problems that are arising from trying to use performance boxes...WHich I will

Why are you trying to get rid of yours? The trade sounds fair, like to see a little less miles on the 03. Can they be beaten down for a thousand or fifteen hundred? It wouldn't seem like a bad deal to me.

Quite a lot for that - it's always worth more stock by the way.

Well, I have recently moved about 500 miles away from my hometown. my father, who is 80, still lives there. The roads between where I moved to home are ROUGH. I am still gonna go home once a month to spend time with him, cause I appreciate him for all he has done for me, and he ain't gonna get younger. Also, I tend to be heavily invovled in the youth group at chrch, and I am all the time loading up kids to take them home, so the true four doors would be a great welcome.

My truck is in good shape, but needs the following done to it, which I can do myself, just been crunched for time with the move, and I can not work on my truck at my new residence due to lease agreement and do not know many folks yet, so I can't go to their house to do it.

-brakes and rotors. original rotors, got a little warp on them now.
-adjust valves. freebie
-rear transfer case seal
-rear end yoke Ready Fit sleeve for the grooves worn into it after 162,000 miles.
-Tires
-cracked dash
-oil change due in another 1000 miles which will only take a week or so.
-air filter change at 165,000
-factory heated seat on my side is well, dead. Not a biggie, but it don't work.
-Gonna need paintin or at least some touch up. I noticed a couple of bubbles on the back fender last time I washed it two weeks ago.
-windshield wipers are due also

all minor stuff, but it would add up in cost. Which I can afford, but jus need time to get to them all.

All in all, I want something with a few less miles that has some warranty left.

Only thing I hate is the stories I have been hearing about the third Gens when mods are added. First thing to go on the new truck will be gauges, as Ihave the pillar and gauges for it that I bought for my dads truck, then the SMARTY when it comes out in the next month or two (hopefully).

Then goerend VB and TC. Money set aside for this already...

If I was in your shoes, and could talk them down a thousand dollars or more, and get a fair trade on your truck(clean it up good before going in), I would do it. Some miles, but not too many.

Well, I think I am going to pull the trigger on this one.

He is giving me 15,500 for my 01 with 162,000 on the clock. he can sell it the same day, is why I am getting this for it.

I got him to go 24,000 on his. Truck has "custom" emblems on it below the stock emblems. Could this be add ons or is there a such of thing?

2003 68,000 on the clock, appears to have had a banks programmer on it at one time, but I am not sure if it is still there or not. It has the **** to adjust settings installed on the left side of the steering column. i m gonna take it for one last test drive today, and I'll pull over and dive under the dash and see if it is there then.

I took the truck down the intestate and felt a slight vibration at 75MPH. What yall think this could be. U-joint?
Truck has fender flares added and paint matched, 18" wheels, he put on brand new Goodyear 10 plyu load range "e" tires yesterday. Bedliner is being applied to it, It has westin step bars on it, He is adding bed caps, and tool box on it also. Truck is clean, but has a lot of pressure washing done under the hood. Like that from the auction he went and got it from.

I have a chrome brush guard at home for it, it has a fifth wheel attachment setup in the bed also.

All I would do to it, is level the front end out and be happy. I have gauges at home for it that I bought with the pillar. Trans upgrades would be next. Gonna go with Dave G VB and TC.

If you decide to buy the truck, get them to fix the vibration before you sign

it is a real faint one, and you would have to be trying to feel it to notice it. I have been doing some reading, and in the cases where a new TC and flex plate were installed it went away. My dad's 03 has this same problem, adn I have been throught the u-joints on it, but they are good.

Any suggestions on what it could be other than U-joints?
