Well, my intake heater came on this morning for the first time this year.

You guys are late... My grid heater has been comming for at least month. We have been seeing 30-40F* weather for a good month.

Now I got to run a extension cord out to the truck and keep it warm. You sure do see a difference if MPG's when you plug it in or not.

haha when I bought my 04.5, after I got it home, and was going to put my extention cord under the seat, I started looking for the plug-in. I could'nt find it, so I took it back to the dealer and told them that somone forgot to install it... hahaha he looked at me like I fell off the turnip truck, and said that they don't come with one since they are supposed to start at -20.... I kinda shook my head, and started price shopping for a plug in heater. I think I might get one that works off the batteries though, I'll have to see what happens.

The block heater is there (on passenger side) you just have to buy the plug.

kelley15, from someone who just moved from Sarasota to Cleveland, let me be the first to extend that favorite of fingers in your direction!

Well it's starting to get cold up here in Cleveland too. Question, when the grid heaters on your 3rd gen trucks go on and off, do you guys get a click or pop noise?

Not a 3rd gen here, but yes, you should hear a click.

These are big heating elements and require a relay to turn them on/off.

At least a month here also. 6000 feet in Montana does tend to get a bit nippy.
Still 70-80° in the daytime though.
