Why do you drive a dodge?
#17
I think the big three as well as Toyota all put out a good product. I think the various styles and design features all work well and its just a matter of preference. That's experience talking because I have owned more than one of each over the past 26 years and used them all for work trucks. I like the Dodge styling and body lines. The Cummins engine has proven to be a huge bonus. My two top likes are the power and mileage I get out of it. The 2nd gen Dodge is what pick ups are supposed to look like in my opinion. The third gens are slowly growing on me. Like I sadi...they are all good in most respects, just the Dodge fits me a little better than the others. Just my .02, Kurt

The Cummins was the main reason for the brand switch for me, however I am pleasantly surprised with the overall quality, I really like this truck.

I've always liked Dodge trucks, but if Chevy had a six cylinder industrial diesel I would have gone with Chevy just as easily. Never been a huge Ford fan, but I did consider an early 6.9. I just decided I liked the idea of a big six cylinder better and would rather drive a Dodge in the end.

I'm an inline 6 nut. My first car was a 1965 Chevelle with a 235 inline 6. It was a great hole shot car. I drove Fords with inline 300 six's for years. I still have one. I like Fords better then Dodge and I would rather have a CTD in a Ford 1st, a Chevy 2nd, a Toyota 3rd and this Dodge I own last. Dodge cut way too many corners when they put this truck together. Frame flexes like crazy, brake lines and wheel cylinders are tiny, sheet metal is...,well as thin as a sheet, primer they used was junk....etc. All the trucks above have there short comings but Dodge seems to have more. Maybe I just got a lemon, but the CTD engine makes me grin ear to ear. Too bad Cummins doesn't make a pick up.
