Why do I see a bunch of CTD's with the front bumper at a weird angle?

In my search I see MANY CTD's with their front bumper/front face angled up and the rear down almost like they ***-ended someone but the bumper itself isn't mangled. Is their a problem here?

Its from pushing the powerjokes and durasmacks down the road.

There are three bolts that mount the bumper on each side of the frame rails. Adjustment is very easy. The bumper on these trucks weighs basically nothing. Loosen them up and realign it. 10 Minutes.

They probably did hit something. A small hit on a 2nd gen bumper will cause it to move on the mounts without alot of damage to the bumper. When this happened on my 1996, I just loosened the mounting bolts, re-aligned the bumper, and tightened everything back up.

More than likely a snow bank.

Did you happen to notice, all the pics you referenced also suffer from MIA front license plate holder disease?
(except for that last Texas one, but even that one the plate looks a little caved at the bottom)

Lot of trucks around these parts suffereing from both maladies, and we have a lot of snowbanks around January and February.

The OEM bumpers an associated hardware are so flimsy,
even freeway speed wind resistance is enough to push the bumper into that shape.

It is easy to align properly , I hit and killed a 5 by 5 Whitetail deer this past November. Body shop put new bumper and grill on truck(wasn't much damage but twisted bumper and cracked grill). I had to send truck back twice for misaligned bumper, after third time I did it and now is fine.

I see the leaning bumper quite a bit in my part of the country on used trucks for sale.
It's usually because a guard that shares the same bolts has been removed to another truck and the bumper not lined up right.

More often I see the gap between the bumper and body to be way different from one side to the other even on brand new trucks on the dealers lot.

check my pictures.....mine did it...and then a left front blow out took all the plastic off too.....so made a bumper. Its more finished then in the pictures now though....I guess I should update that. The two extra intercoolers are working pretty good. My egts are lower towing my 50 ft trailer then empty, as near as I can tell cause the boost comes up quicker with a load. I see about 1150 towing at 20-26k lbs. Ofcourse the 50 psi of boost helps too. This is with 370's and a 10 plate all the way forward.

Our '00 V-10 has it because it got stuck, and the best place to pull it was the bolt-on grill guard (not front end replacement). Well it's only as strong as the factory brackets it bolts to, and in the process of pulling it out, the brackets bent and now it will not align because the brackets are bent.
