Who has sold their mega cab?

So guys here is my delima. I need a short term bigger truck. I had a 04 quad that got smashed and I'm rebuilding it as we speak. But life has gotten busy with parents passing. Starting a business. Personal and so on. I just did that speel for the people that wanna know why I'm doing this ha ha.

So I've been doing all my work with a 1500 ram. It honestly does better than I expected but its really not up to the task we will be requiring it so I found a 2007 dodge megacab 6.7 I want to pick up till my other truck gets completed. Question is how easy has it been to get rid of them? The reason I'm buying a 30k new truck compared to a 10k 300000 mile truck is so I know I can sell it! Just seems not everyone will be able to cash out a new truck from private party. Any tips?

I had to sell my 08 Laramie Megacab and really took a big hit on it but it sold pretty quick since it was low mileage and heavily optioned. I've seen some guys have a very hard time selling their SLT Megas though.......

Find a nice Mega Laramie and I'll trade you for it....

Around here, 30k mi Mega Cabs regardless or 5.9 or 6.7 seem to go for $30k+.
Friend sold his 06 Mega SLT, 50k mi, BEAT UP. Missing taligate, one side all dented up, not clean inside, crappy tires, etc for $22k and he dumped it to a used car dealer to get out from under it!
Unless it's a problem 07.5, if it has the auto trans/e brake and is in good condition, I think you could still get $25k for it with 70-80k mi on it. You won't want to go back to your 04 though!

Is the new setup that much better? I'm thinking all I wanted was the 6 spd.trans. Seems I could make easy power on 5.9 and sounds like the new setup didn't like the upgrades? Weak head gasket and the trans can't be beefed up?
