I dont know but he took about a second before he got off the line. I bet he would have been low 9's if he hits it right.

it wouldnt have gone 9's...it doesnt matter how long you sit there after the green light, it doesnt start timing until your tires move

That is moving.

Okay, I have questions about this run. What is going on when the guy is reving up? Is this an auto and he drops into gear? Slipping the TC? What is the proper sequence for a launch?

I know, I'm a moron, but I have never understood what the driver is doing and when.

He's building boost. I think he runs a Suncoast tranny, he could be using a trans brake?

Us casual racers use the brake pedal.

You have to stage your truck at the line, then build boost so you don't lag. Hold the brake pedal, ease into the coal until you reach the amount of boost you want and then when the tree comes down let off the brake and you're off...

a guy at my local track runs a 24v that could be my trucks twin...same color and all, it has twins, built auto, lotsa fuel etc...he usually runs in the low 12's, but he added some type of anti-defueling device so he could build more boost on the line, first time out instead of launching at 20psi, the truck went all the way to 35psi and overpowereed the footbrakes then blew the output shaft. he fixed it and came back to run a 12.4 spinning pretty bad in 4x4...def a sweet truck
