My friend got a ticket for visible emisions and the cop told him that he owns a diesel and his diesel doesn't smoke.

 

Did he tell the cop his ain't running right then.

 

He should have asked him to race.

I got pulled over for "insufficiently cleared windshield" one morning when it was 15 below out. I can't reach a narrow little strip of the windshield on my '03 when I scrape it. Luckily he let me climb up onto the hood to scrape it off and then just gave me a warning. The actual fine would've been $120.

 

They are starting to be Edit in colorado. Drive a motorcycle with loud pipes through denver, thats good for a instant ticket. Wait till they start on loud exhaust on our trucks. I don't think there is a diesel truck in the whole state of NH that would pass a visible emmissions test.

 

This could be against forum rules--I dont know..but, When you get pulled over do not tell them that you already knew about the problem. Because that isn't going to get you out of a fine. They will tell you that you shouldn't have been driving it if you already knew it was broke. Either tell them the problem just happened while you were driving. Or that you had no clue it was blowing smoke.

i got pulled for loud exhaust, no ticket, just told me i had to show up for inspection and the inspector said my truck sounded fine, just tobad i had to get it toad because my drag link had play in it and a bad arm joint, just normal ware, well 500.00s and a safty later it was on the road again

 

I got busted by a "comrade" turning me in. We are letting our freedoms be eroded my friends....

 

The last owner of (93beaters) truck got a letter in the mail last week for the city seein his truck and said it had excessive smoke coming out the tail pipe, i don't know i think we ought to show these cops what these trucks are made of next time i see one broke down and drag their cars somewhere they want them and maybe they will respect the ol trucks. Why in the heck are they all worried about emissions here if they were really worried about them then they would make us pass an emmisions test, this city is rediculous and stupid and it is gettin worse every day.
