1st Gen

I have owned 2- 2wd 200 First Gens. the 89 was without o.d. at about 78, it touched the governor and might get to 82-83 downhill with a tail wind. My '92, with O.D. has been to 95 many times and was not into the governor, yet. I think it would go 100? I pulled my 45' fifth wheel car hauler

at about 85 down a hill once!

Not sure what my top speed would be in the 99 but it runs anywhere from 102 to 103 mph in the 1/4 mile. And will go well past where the numbers stop on the speedo on the highway.

No... those go to 180 and then it has about 20mph worth to get pinned... we drove for about 15 miles like that... This was high school back in 1991 ... No worries no fears and cheap fuel. ... Now I only have 1 out of 3... and that is fading

yeah thats pretty fast!! I've been to 145 on a gsxr1000 and that was plenty fast for me, on the street on a bike, anyways.

i've had mine up to 110Mph on a long straight road before. but its a duelly so its not the fastest. i often cruse at about 85mph but with fuel prices i am down to 55-60

I have had my truck runnin 115mph with the cruise on... It had more petal but I didn't need to use it to pass anyone

Anyone else notice that the 3rd gens have great throttle response running over 90?

117mph in the truck and 160 in the vette with the top down. Still had more to go in the vette but the road started to turn. The truck was right on the rev limiter.
