Bought mine used with 207,000 km's. Just turned 277,000 km's last week. In three years, I've been stranded once from a broken flexplate. I was kinda rough on that week, so I won't complain.
I'm very pleased with mine.

I had a rear axle come out at highwayspeeds, lost 5th gear(still drove ok), been through more headgaskets than I care to remember (see my pics) frayed throttle cable (used baler twine run in from throttle under hood inside window, and had a hillbilly hand thottle to drive me about 50 miles (not fun with a standard), lost my vaccum shift motor, steering gear went bye bye, severe death wobble, intercooler boot uhm......thats it I think. That was on my '94

My 02 has lost a head gasket (bone stock cept for BHAF and straight lined), lost a LP, and a IP, and the APPS (all under warranty)

Needless to say I am totally unimpressed with Dodge products!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Looking at the score though it appears you are in the minority. Bad luck or hard on trucks.

ive broken plenty of stuff, but that happens when you double the factory HP and then drive it like a race car :guilty:

none of this ever left me stranded tho...tranny lost 6th gear, VP44 went out but not dead completely, bent a pushrod at 500hp

only time i've been stranded due to something other than my stupidity was the clutch hydraulics failing. the only other time it was towed was due to me offroading on hills and rocks and destroying a carrier bearing on the drive shaft.

Cracked fuel injectors at 50,000 miles.

Had my hydraulic cylinder break off the axle once (hydro assist steering). I was able to drive it home slowly but the steering wheel would get locked up at the break-over point on every turn and I had to man-handle it to get it to turn the rest of the way.

Mud + stock tires = sunk to the frame.

Only time I've had to walk away from non moving Cummins powered vehicle.

I've since rendered that problem null and void.

My truck has been pretty good to me in the 2 years I've owned it. I've had an LP and VP44 go bad but not to the point where i had to walk, it still dorve fine, I just got dead pedal a couple times. I had the Governor pressure solenoid go bad but I limped it to the dealer and go a new VB under warranty. This truck has been pretty good in the 46,000 miles I've put on it. My gasser dodge left me walking one time though. The Cat plugged up and it wouldn't go anymore than 35 mph since it was choking. I walked home a couple miles and came back the next day with a cordless sawzall, a BMFH (my hammer), and a piece of bar stock. I gutted the cat so i could get home.
