this really wasnt my trucks fault but i was heading down a street which was beign worked on and they had the lane sooo skinny i had to drive up on a curb and when i came off i had a flat tire, so i pulled into the closest parking lot and put the factory jack under and it wouldnt reach( 35's) so i went to looking for a big block i carry in my truck to put the jack on and couldnt find it. so luckily there was a tire shop two blocks down the road, that i walked to to get a floor jack...wheeled back to my truck, got the tire off, rolled it down to the tire shop fixed it, rolled it back and got her back together( bout to hours altogether. then.... when i was pulling in to my aprtment complex i hit the curb kinda hard in my parking spot and messed the hydroboost all up it just started pouring fluids all onto the ground and then it was down for another day or so....that old truck had many stories....but ill space em out lol

Does it count as stranded if you don't have to tow it home? I had to replace the ignition lock cylinder in the parking lot after work a couple months ago, that's the first time I couldn't start the truck and drive it since I've owned it.

In the thirteen years I've owned my heap I've had to be towed home three times.
Tore out the flex-plate hub, broke a couple of teeth off the ring gear, and the busted steering box mount thing.
I'm OK with that.

Blew out the rear freeze plug at about the 1/8 mile mark at the drag strip. Needed a wrecker to HotRodDiesels. Not really stranded since Michael sent a loner truck to the drag strip for me to drive until mine was fixed. Only time in two and a half years and 60,000 miles with a lot of hard drag strip runs that I did not get in, start it and go.

The dodge dealer wanted over $200 to replace the tumbler and refit the keys,
Besides that i've never had any mechanical breakdowns, the only major thing I had to take care of was a leaky headgasket. That was no charge from the dealer.
Now, the Blue rig in my sig has had it's share of issues. Within 60k miles it ran through a new lift pump and it had to have the power steering pump replaced at 45k miles. I blame that on the lift and the big ol' tires. And you can rest assured DC would not warranty that.

Way back in the early days of this website before I joined I was horse hauling. I lost the ip in Ohio thankfully I was empty but had to spend 3 days at some awful motel. Then I had to walk 5 miles when the center spun out of the clutch in one of the first 5600 conversions done @ Bluemthals. Not real happy about that one but I am over it finally because I didn't even mention the clutch vendor . Several lp's but never stranded cause I always carry a spare.
