OK, I know this has been hashed more than enough times to comment on. But I haven't seen an actual scientific study, so I have created this poll to see who is using what.

Leave the why's alone, I think there are more than enough threads running around the board as to the benefits and differences between various oils. I just want to see what is being used out there.

There was a poll done before we went from YABBSE to VBulletin, but the poll numbers didn't make it. Thread here. I'm a Delvac 1300 Super user, I think it's the best oil for the money at Wally-Mart.

Being a Canuk, I use ESSO XD3 Products. The Canadian version of ExxonMobil.

Sooo after this poll can we conclude that we have been involved in a scientific study sorry I couldn't help it.
Just put amsoil in it.

Viper, I assume you are in the preliminary stages of conducting a fully detailed lab report Do you have your PHd in diesel oil survey analysis? This is my current field of study, do you have anybody you can hook me up with-maybe cut a few corners

Sort of surprised at preliminary results here. On a similar poll I did on TDR a couple years ago Delo was on top by far followed by Rotella, Delvac, Valvoline and Amsoil in that order. There were over 600 total votes.

Looks like the readily available, over-the-counter brands are most popular, compared to the more expensive "boutique" brands. Go figure. Rarely is an engine failure the direct result of the lube oil. Any diesel rated oil will hold up fine in the Cummins.
