what has your truck been mistook for?

just curious if there is anything, other than the usual garbage truck, that our trucks get mistaken for?

the other day i had to go to a secure Fire Station that is used for storage, for severe weather stuff. my truck was mistaken by the other weather operators for a Fire Truck that had stopped by that station earlier.

An old friend lives just down the road from me, we live close to a grain elevator, I was going into town and had it in 5th at about 30 MPH and went past his house.

He called me just as I got into town and said he was expecting to see a JD tractor as my truck rolled past.

It's also been mistaken for a Freightliner.

A school bus for size and cargo capacity. I have had 35 people in my truck before, that is how it got the bus name. Sound = nothing, I have a very distinct sound that is unmistakable.

Ive had girls that are going to the bus stop on campus while talking on the phone start running to the stop thinking their going to miss the bus when they here me. When they turn around to see how close I am and they see no bus, they stop running and look ambarrased. It's happened several times. All my buddies think it's either a bus or peterbuilt

Well on one early Easter Sunday morning service, my sister overheard one of the ushers saying he thought he heard a barge coming into port.

And one other time while at Costco, some guy couldn't figure out why his key wouldn't open the truck door. His truck really did look like mine, 'cept for the Cummins sticker on the rear window.

Family thought a fire truck had pulled into the driveway the day I brought it home.

I've seen people step out thinking the bus was pulling up more than a few times.

Even had a few people say they thought they heard a semi next to them, looked over and it was only me.

Stopped at a buddys place and was idling to let the turbo cool before shutting her down. His parents came out and thought they heard a tow truck idling and that my buddy had his car towed home!!

I used to get that all the time when I worked evenings. They always thought the fed ex truck was an hour early and they didn't have all the packages ready.

I had the local bridge cop think I was something bigger than it was. He was on the other side for a walk and all he heard was my straight piped truck start pulling up on the 8 ton limit bridge. He stopped running when he saw my little pickup.
