I got into diesels because I've always liked big rigs as a kid. Growing up in Bakersfield I saw lots of trucks but never really cared for them until I met my stepdad. He was a diesel-head due to the nature of his work. Once he even let me drive a big rig (on a remote street) . I remember his 7.3 PSD and how it HAULED some serious weight! At the time I was really into dirtbiking. So I decided to get a truck to carry my dirtbike. I asked him what truck to get and he said to go with the Cummins because it'll last 500k miles with no sweat. It also got the best fuel economy of the 3. Who knew I would soon shift my interest from dirtbiking to diesel trucks. We've also had a '83 Benz 240D forever and even though it's slow as heck, I've always liked something about it.
