What do you think of the new 06 3500? I am not sure about the rear wheels yet. I need to see one in person.

Its a nice looking truck

wont serve my purposes, too much truck and too high a payment too . Like any other new truck it just takes getting used to, a buddy of mine has a brand new 06 identical to mine and build date 10/05 exactly 10 years difference from mine... and i tell you IT IS DANG NICE... he he he he he..

PS are these the new 4th gen? or more like 3rd gen and a half?

Tx

I don't like the new style headlights, or the shortbox.

Don't care much for the front bumper either...should be all chrome or all paint.

I haven't seen the 3500 in person yet, but I did get to see the 2500. That one I don't mind even though I'm not real fond of the third gen look. The dual wheels on the short bed make it look really strange. If I were to go with dually I'd want the traditional longbed for it.

Those duels look like a first gen. Short bos duely, why. Front looks like a dakota. 4 door short bed does look kind of nice but not mean like i like them.

I like the look, but the truck would be impractical for me. Why should the passengers in the back be more confortable than the owner/driver who dished out 60K. Give me practical/confortable front seating and then give the extra to the passengers.

The front seats in the '06 are more comfortable than the previous 3rd gen trucks. Test drove a Mega Cab last weekend and it's very impressive. Love to have one but I think my wife would bury me in the backyard.

Can't stand those dually fenders....argh!!!....FUGLY for sure!!...I love the long bed dually fenders on 3rd gens but this is just rediculous.....and a short box for a dually....why? What good is that for? Too small for big 5vers or slide-in campers and too small for many contractors.....I could understand if they offered the dually SB as an option to the LB.....but to not offer a LB at all with the Mega, regardless of SRW or DRW is silly.....DC really misses the boat sometimes.....and while I'm on my rant, where is the cab and chassis? Or for that matter, a 4500 or 5500? They just love spoon feeding buissness to Ford and GM, I guess.......

They dropped the ball. The 3rd gen was a nice looking truck, but this thing is new age, and retro with the dual fenders. YUCK. I am not impressed with the mega cab either. Still need that room for tall passengers, not a tote box for tools. But at least they took a shot.

I like that new cab but am disappointed with the short box. Most people need the long box for work and such. I can't believe that it is not an option. They are going to loose a lot of business if they don't offer a long box! Maybe the long box will be next year, I hope.
