General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

What do you use it for?

Haul tractors, hay, wagons, hay balers, drive it to school every day, run it at the drag strip, delivering firewood, and just playing around. Wouldnt trade it for nothing

You may think this is a waste. But mine sits in my shop most of the time. Comes out just to pull my 5vr. Once & awhile I'll drive it to town just to keep the bearings lubed. I bought it for my retirement rig & I still have 9yrs of work left.

Same here (see signature). Took delivery of the truck August 15, 2001. As of yesterday when I washed it and filled it up, it had 24,200 miles.

Daily driver 65 miles round trip to work. Occasionaly tow 25 ft. fifth wheel. It has no muffler so its good for annoying the annoying punks with loud stereos and cRap music.

Daily driver mostly. Pull a 36' TT in the summer or 21' boat. Got a 3 axle flatbed I use occasionally.

My truck pulls DD duties primarily. Also, I'm an independently contracted mosquito control specialist working independently

It's also the come-get-me-I'm-stuck-in-the-Rockies truck.

It's also the I-need-help-moving-my-overpriced-entertainment-center truck.

And the can-you-pull-this-from-Montana-to-Cheyenne truck

But mostly, it's just a more fuel efficient, practical, and do-anything alternative to my 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 (RIP).

Justin
