Dodge all the way. why does everybody knock the dodge body, 200k on mine not one squeak or rattle ,or a speck of rust. you can take them Fords and Chevys to the recycler at 100k IMHO.

My truck has 178K on it and no rust, rattle, squeak....

Just like pretty much everyone else...Ford has more room. If you look at it by CU FT ford will come out ahead...Every time i ride in a 3rd gen 3500 4dr I feel real uncomfortable...Im 6'4 and in the fords i can actually fall asleep..dodge no way. My exucrison had so much room it was awesome, really comfy, etc....Cant ever leave a Ford body.

One of my uncles had a '56 2 ton GMC, I would have really like to have gotten that truck and dropped a cummins in it... I would have to go with an old body style with a cummins.

I dont like all these new fangled body styles...

cummins in a chevy. only thing is i like the old body style ( pre slanted headlights ), i like the true crew cab, the ride, and the interior comfort that my 01 gasser had,and the bose sound system. they may not be as heavy as the dodge but the sure do ride like a caddy. just my opinion. scott

If my '94 F350 dually crewcab had a Cummins, I'd still own it! I do love my Dodge, however.

You are right about that, Don. I got stuck a couple of times with that rig, and it could be kind of skittish on snow.

This is my first Dodge, I've always had Fords and Chevys.

I don't find anything wrong with the Dodge--I'd stick with it.

I love my Cummins, so where it goes, I follow!
Like maybe after 2007, when DCX puts MB diesels in Dodge and Ford jumps ship to Cummins...
Is this true?

or just another rampant rumor.. I want to know answers or proof.. AS far as im concerned.. OK I would love to have my old IDI back and drop in the cummins motor that i have in my dodge right now... Then agian i retract. I need a supercab now.. So a 92-97 f250 with a HIGHLY BOMBED 12V cummins, mine could be a start block... But its just wishful thinkin..

Strange that you should say that Fronty. I purchased a '56 GMC ton and a half with a 12 valve and getrag already shoehorned in it last year. It's sitting out on the farm waiting for me to have time to finish the job. Real easy access to the rear of the engine right now since a big chunk of the firewall disappeared to let the Cummins in.

What part of OK are you in anyway?

My choice will be (plans are already in the works for) a mid-60's Chevy w/ a 12 valve.

To each their own I guess.
