Weighed My Truck

I went to the city dump today and asked them the weight of my truck. With 1/4 tank of fuel, me (~140), my toolbox (~75), and sound system (~50) I came in at a skull crushing 6960. That surprised me considering I've got 315/75/16 tires on 16x10" wheels with a ranch hand rear replacement bumper and a 4.5" lift. Oh well. It's nice to know what the truck weighs though. Quick question yall, how much does diesel weigh per gallon? I thought it was 8 but my buddy thinks it's like 9.5 lb/gal. I'm gonna fill up tomorrow and figure out roughly what I weigh with a full tank.

If you were man sized, you would have come in at over 7000#

at least you can just throw a couple extra wrenches in the box, then you'll be a man. Me, I have to empty my tool box out so I'm not a couple of men.

I've gotta be closer to 8K, if not over.

Being that I'm "man sized" (over 250#, nuff said ), front bumper and winch (260#), crossbed toolbox full of recovery gear (no idea on the #'s), 315 spare in the bed and 300#'s of tube sand, and never below 1/4 tank.

I've been meaning to hit the scales at Flying J, but I don't seem to ever be by one.

And you guys wonder why I call him BabyBlue.

He does have wrenches in his pockets on windy days.

Did I tell you about the ladder I crushed? HAHAHAH
20ft extension...half way up it started bending real slow like a banana...never laughed so hard in my life.

My truck is near 9K lbs with me in it, fuel tanks full, stereo, road armor front and back.
Next truck might be my stealth pencil weight rig.

I don't carry wrenches in my pocket on windy days. I use sand. It's a lot more fun to throw at people.

"If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball" from the movie DODGE BALL

Last time i was on the scale i came in at 7952 at the junk yard, lil under 1/4 tank. I think i have some extra mud up under my truck since it only gets washed when it rains or i have to work on it.

are you saying "oh well" like you wish it were heavier? get one of those new fancy lead-conrete composite bedliners.

mine is probably about 6300 lbs at the moment!

Actually, I was kinda hoping it was heaving than that but oh well. I figured it up with a full tank of fuel and I'm roughly 7100 give or take 50 or so lbs. Not to shabby. Maybe that's why I get the mileage I do. My truck doesn't weigh anything.

I'm up there in the heavy weight class then...

The last time I weigh my truck with a full tank of fuel and me in the seat... I was tipping the scales around 7,900# and pushing towards 7,950# (digital display was rocking up / down with these two numbers)

I've always enjoyed BIG BOYZ TOYZ! Never going back to little trucks...

I weighed mine (see Signature) empty with a little less than 1/4 tank. 7120lbs on public certified scales without me in it.

I have 5 BFG 315s mounted on Dodge Chrome Clad Steel wheels. Each tire wheel combination weighs about 108lbs, for total of 540lbs of tires and wheels.
