WARRENTY VOIDED WITH K&N AND STRAIGHT PIPE?
#4
They didn't void mine YET. Mine was in the shop last week and they made sure on the paper work they put VEHICLE HAS NO MUFFLER. I am just waiting for them to actually pop the hood. I have an AFE filter in the stock box but that is going to change due to that looking like it is trying to suck crap in the box at the seam. I put a good coat of vaseline around the seal to stop it for now. But I have read that they are automaticaly voiding for K&N due to filtration issues and they are on DC dodo list. Hope this helps, I know there are lots with K&N and never had a problem and not trying to start a war, only stating what I have read, please don't shoot me.

One of the things about aftermarket air filters is the only way to let more air in, is to open up the holes that air flows through, therfore letting larger particles in. They have all the right they want to complain, as they guarantee that engine for x amount of time as it is coming from the factory.
You open up the exhaust (which lets moisture get to the turbo seals), and throw on an aftermarket air filter, which may or may not let larger particles through, and you can see why they have an issue with it.
If your concerned w/ a warranty, just dont do it.
